Just finished this book. It was incredible. One of my favorite books I’ve ever read. One thing though—slavery sucks. It makes me sad how racist things used to be, and even more distressing when you think about things being not so much better nowadays.
But yeah, slavery is no good. This is a platitude, but sometimes reading a book will just sink the concept deeper into your brain, and that’s what happened here.
